Art as magic. Persona as prism.
Channeling transmissions from the edge of consciousness.
Welcome to the liminal space of my mind. This is where memory blurs into myth, cinema becomes spellwork, and the personal is cosmically entangled.
I'm a biracial, first-generation American filmmaker, writer, and creative mystic exploring the intersections of ancestry, identity, trauma, and transformation. My work spans narrative and documentary, film and tv. I’m a Sundance Fellow and an Emmy nominee. You can learn more about me and my work here.
A Woman Under the Influence is a vessel for the alchemical process of making art in a burning world — a space for nonlinear storytelling, cinematic magic, and downloads from the ether. Part dream, part portal, wholly bewitching.
Here, you’ll find essays, dream fragments, film musings, meditations, rituals, and dispatches from the unseen. This space might be unconventional, but I promise it’ll be a vibe.
Under the influence of what?
Depends on the day.
